Spending his youth around his Tłı̨chǫ band in Rae-Edzo and learning pride in his heritage through his ties to Grand Chiefs and prolific indigenous artists, his mother's teachings focused on healing the current problems of the Indigenous as well as looking to the future for how to stop and heal intergenerational trauma. He holds a degree in Psychology from the University of Calgary with a focus on child development, his education and future aspirations focus on the goal of healing his people and others by restoring the love, respect, and knowledge of indigenous culture to settlers and indigenous peoples. Jayden will almost always credit his mother and her teachings for his determination to heal First Nations now and into the future.
