An Omàmiwininì Speaker, Cultural and Spiritual Practitioner, Chrystal is a member of the Algonquins of Pikwàkanagàn First Nation, located in what is now known as Renfrew County in the Ottawa Valley. Chrystal has worked in grassroots spaces for over 22 years and brings a passion for public education, Indigenous harm reduction and cultural reclamation. She is best known for her written works under the traditional Storyteller name Chrystal Waban and her work as a Life Spectrum Doula and founding member of Aunties on the Road and the Indigenous Death Doula Collective.
